Summer is officially here-longer days, warmer nights, and a little more sunshine to brighten our journeys. Whether your planning time away, enjoying a staycation, or just appreciating a slower pace, we hope you’re finding ways to recharge and enjoy the season. As we welcome the sunny days of summer, we’re also taking a moment to reflect on the energy and progress we shared this past spring especially around our collective efforts in networking and innovation in the aging space.
One of the season’s standout moments was our Progressive Dinner networking event in April. This evening brought together professions from across sectors in aging services, healthcare, housing and more, for great food and even greater conversations. Each course offered a new opportunity to connect share experiences and spark ideas. The energy was incredible and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
In May we held our Annual Senior Resource Fair, this was well received by both the community and the member organizations that participated. A big thank you to the Networking and Communications Committees for your outstanding work in organizing and promoting this fantastic event.
This brings us to The Taste of the Network in July. The most excited food filled event of the year! We are truly sorry to share that this year’s event has been cancelled due to extremely low participation. This decision was not made lightly, as we know how beloved and anticipated this gathering has been in the past. We share in your disappointment and sincerely hope to bring it back next year with renewed energy and engagement.
As we move into summer we are excited to continue this momentum. Be on the lookout for upcoming events new ways to collaborate, and opportunities to stay engaged. And of course we hope you find time for rest, renewal and connection this season.
Warmest regards,
April Romanowski
