VICE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

Birds are chirping, trees are budding, and Network in Aging is buzzing with activity! I’m welcoming Spring with energy and excitement. I hope you are, too!

Kudos to all who made our January Social a tremendous success. The masquerade theme was carried out with feathery, colorful fun! Special thanks to our sponsors and the Red Blazer Men’s Chorus who serenaded us with beautiful harmonies and made the night extra special.

Welcome to our new Platinum Members – Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and West Herr Automotive Group! And welcome back to the Board of Directors, Michael Olear from MJ Peterson Real Estate!

Plans for our Senior Resource Fair are in full swing. Hope you’ve got your table reserved for the event on May 15th. I’m excited to see our new venue – the Ironworkers Banquet Hall in West Seneca. Please do your part to spread the word. A .pdf of the flyer is available for you to distribute through your favorite social media channels or to print out and hang around the community!

As you pour through the pages of the newsletter, keep an eye out for a special Solar Eclipse poll. Joining the poll will enter you into a drawing and give you the opportunity to engage with our excellent NIA Facebook Members Only page!

Finally, I’d like to encourage you to make the most of your membership every month. The Network thrives when our members are active and engaged. Has it been a while since you attended a Network with the Network event? Have you been thinking about joining a committee? Have you submitted an article to the Newsletter to share what makes your organization unique and vital to the community? The Network in Aging is YOURS. Join in! Have fun! Make connections!

 With Warm Wishes,

Paula Venné-Clendening
